The €12,300 PokerStars Cuatro Knockout is a relatively new tournament that debuted at the Barcelona stop of the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour schedule. Now it has arrived at the Hilton Prague for the first time, with players taking to the felt from 2 p.m. local time today.

The Cuatro is a bounty tournament with a twist; once the field reaches the final 25%, each of the remaining players are given a bounty token worth €12,000, €300 shy of the full buy in. This means the bounties will make up a decent chunk of the overall prizepool.

In Barcelona, Steve O'Dwyer took home the first place prize of €163,720 and four bounties totalling €48,000. Byron Kaverman finished second for €107,400 and claimed one bounty of €12,000. Santhosh Suvarna took third place money for €77,900 and matched O'Dwyer's bounty haul of four. The tournament saw 62 entries which generated a prizepool of €537,120.

Today's Cuatro will see registration close after Level 10. Levels run for 30-minutes and each player will start with a stack of 100,000. Blinds will begin at 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante, meaning each entrant starts with 100 big blinds providing they play from the beginning.

Each player has 15 seconds to act on their first decision and 30 seconds on any subsequent decision. Players will receive 4-time banks worth 30 seconds each at the time of taking their seat then one additional time bank card at the start of every odd level.

Eliminated players who re-enter can claim the number of time bank cards they had at elimination when they take their seat and not later. There will be a 15-minute break at the end of Levels 3 and 6 with a 60-minute dinner break scheduled for the end of Level 10.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for coverage of the Cuatro and many more tournaments yet to come from here in the historic city of Prague.

Trips For Lasouski

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded around to Viacheslav Buldygin who called in the small blind. Artsiom Lasouski checked his option in the big blind.

Buldygin led out for 1,000 on the 2K9 flop. Lasouski called. Buldygin then check-called the K turn for 1,500. He then checked again on the J river. Lasouski then bet 6,000. Buldygin called quickly and was shown K4 for trip kings. Buldygin mucked his hand.
